FIFA 21: BVB target Dalot in the FUT and career mode check

Borussia Dortmund is apparently interested in signing Diogo Dalot, we take a look at the right-back in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team (FUT) and in career mode.

Dalot moved from FC Porto to Manchester United three years ago, but the Portuguese has so far not really been able to gain a foothold with the "Red Devils". Accordingly, he was awarded to AC Milan last season, where he was one of the permanent staff. Now the 22-year-old is back at Old Trafford and had to watch the first two games of the new season from the bench. Dalot is considered a back-up for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, rumors have been circulating for days that Borussia Dortmund would like to fix its own weakness on the right side of defense with Dalot. A loan with an option to buy is in the room, but FC Bayern Munich also seems to be interested in a commitment. So far it is also unclear whether Manchester United would even like to give up the talented defender.

Potential for improvement in FUT

In the FUT mode of FIFA 21, Dalot has an overall rating of 76, which is one point higher than in FIFA 20. After a strong season, he can also count on an upgrade for the next offshoot. This would be especially important with his Pace (79) to make him a playable FUT card. His important defensive (71) and pass (70) values can still be improved. The potential of his card is shown by his very useful Future Stars object. If he switched, he could get a Ones to Watch (OTW) object in FIFA 22 that has enormous growth potential.

Career mode ends at 82

Although Dalot only has three stars for his weak foot in FUT, EA gives him four stars in this area in career mode. With a 76 overall rating, its potential is 82 points - a rather manageable value. Since the contract runs until 2025, his weekly salary is 22,500 euros. The market value of 11.5 million euros must be exceeded for a commitment, there is no exit clause. The quality of "technical dribbler" and his high work rate on the offensive could make him a solid option as a full-back in games partially controlled by the AI.
